Another Finish!

 This is Chocolate Bunnies by Brenda - WTNT. I did the finish a little different and changed the colors. I did it to match Easter Frills by Brenda. I just finished Stitching it. I will put it together this weekend..

Here is my bowl of little Spring and Easter thingies. Thanks for all the comments on my boxes.. I got this little Easter Chick Pom Pom kit from Hobby Lobby.. I was reading the instructions and it says" WE believe these instructions are accurate and complete, But we can not guarantee the character or appearance of the Finished product."  I have been laughing at that... If mine does not turn out like the picture on the front... I can't complain.. It would be the way I put it together.. lol  I have never seen anything like that on a craft... lol  I guess, if you are a Poor craft putter-together, than it is not the craft's fault!!!  lol and I know that putter-together is not a real word!!  it is just so hot here, I could not think of a better word..
Till later... as I wipe sweat.. I may have to turn on the Air Conditioner...

3 MORE FINISHES

I had finished out three more items today. Frog Pillow is a Lizzie Kate chart. The Candy Heart is a chart from the magazine Cross Stitch & Needlecraft's from years back. This was stitched as a Round Robin Project. It went from stitcher to stitcher, they picked out 4 pieces of candy each to stitch. I finished the ones left. The striped Bunny, I can't remember who was the designer. It was a freebie chart. The Ric-Rack was my grandmothers. She added the tatting to it. I do have a picture by Carriage House Samplers I framed today. It is just a little picture. I will show it tomorrow. I had to laugh today when I was stitching the piping around the pillows. I told Raeanne I could not see the thread to tie a knot or thread the needle, and of course, she asked where my glasses were? I said that is not the problem... The thread is invisible -clear thread. Maybe... I need to stick to thread I can see.....That is all today. Till Tomorrow......

Smokin' Needle

I have not been blogging lately.. I guess you have noticed. Brenda has sent me a new model to stitch. It is called Bunny & Co. It is so cute!!! I am trying to get it back to her fast.. That is why my needle is smoking !!! lol If you like her Bunny & Co punch needle pattern, You will love the cross stitch chart !! So Cute ! Here is a picture of the Punch needle. The cross stitch model is not stitched on black.. That is what I have been up to this week... I did have Zoe come visit me today.. I had to laugh ...

She came in the door with her curls all over her head.. She looked like Eunice (Carol Burnett) from skits from Mama's Family, off The Carol Burnett Show. I called her Eunice all day... lol

Where Have I Been And Some Stitching !

I have been lurking around the blogs reading every one's blogs and not keeping up with mine. Why, you ask? I have been in a slump... No stitching, nothing exciting here in Alabama going on. I am just peeling the layers on sunburn skin off. Yes, I know... I am to old and smart to get burned in the sun, but I did. It has been a week now of peeling. I am keeping lotion on my shoulders.. Brings back childhood memories... You know... Before sunscreen was invented. And Pleaseee... don't let me smell vinegar ! Mom used to rub my back with vinegar and put me in front of a fan. Stink for days !!!! Thank You, the person who invented sunscreen !!

I am home for awhile now. I hope to get back into blogging. I did clean out the craft room today. That way I can get some of those stitched projects finished up and put them on display around the house. Here is a picture of the work desk.

See my new box on the left. I put all my ready to get started projects in it. I bought some old oil cans down in Orange Beach at an antique shop. I have charts to make pin keeps to attach to the top.

I did pull out these 2 things to work on:

The Candy Pillow is a Valentine design that was done in a Round Robin group that was stitched years old. ( maybe 11 years ago) Has it been that long??? lol Now... the Cow Needlepoint is a favorite that I have started and now need to complete... I know mom... Right along with the 20 something Afghan... lol I have that pulled out to work on too. That is all I have to show for now..

Fix'n to start some supper on the grill !!! Pork Chops...

A Boy And A Leg Lamp

This is a picture of my grandson Josh. He had just discovered the Leg Lamp that mom had gave to me a couple of Christmas' ago. I just had to get the camera and take his picture. What is it with boys and leg lamps??? lol We the love the movie " A Christmas Story ". I also love Christmas Vacation. I have been sitting around today watching the Hallmark Channel's Christmas shows. I did start to tear up with one of the shows.. I said OK.... Go to another channel. Nothing like Judge Judy when she is screaming at someone to make you dry up those tears, and don't forget Jerry Springer... lol..

I did make it to the doctor today. NO Pleurisy.... He thinks I cracked a rib coughing. I got 2 more powerful antibiotics and some pain patches to apply to the rib area. Nothing they can do for that. Raeanne and kids were here tonight. I enjoyed it greatly. I did to much and I was to stay still and rest per Doc. I will have to try and stay still tomorrow for sure.. Hard to do that without falling asleep in the recliner. My mother in law came over and checked on me. Great just sitting and talking to her.

I have done some stitching today... well, almost about 30 minutes worth. I have about ran the batteries down in the remote to the TV.. Well... I think I will check in on TV Guide web site and see what will be on tomorrow. See Ya'll !!!

Some Stitching And A Headless Turkey

This a stitching piece that I was working on... I said was, because I ran out of sampler thread " Burnt Orange". He will get his head about this weekend. I had to order thread for other projects and I should get his head color this weekend. That is what I don't like about not having a local shop anywhere in central Alabama. All we have is a Michael's & Hobby Lobby.. Ok, if you just want DMC... I have to order about everything I use to stitch. I did pick up another stitch piece that was in my WIP pile. It is from La D Da Designs. That is all I have stitched on, for the last couple of days. Hope to get rotation of projects back started. I keep finding new charts that I want to stitch... Well back to stitching....
