DANG!!!!!

I guess Until Later.... Means 3 months later!  Where is the time going and what have I be doing? That is the million dollar question.
 
Well, I didn't make it to the Primitive Stitchers Society Retreat( PSS ) this year. I ahhh and ooddd over all the pictures and lived through the videos that Ridgely did!  Great videos of all the stash I didn't get to see or buy.. Do I sound down in the dumps?  Maybe it is because I restarted Weight Watcher today! I guess all that moping around this weekend while everyone was in Ohio got to me.
Plus I think I ate to much.. Nope, I know I ate to much!  lol

I started the first time on March 2nd of this year. I had lost 14 pounds by April 15th. I was so happy that I decided I could do this on my own with a free app. Thought I would save the 19.99 a month by downloading the Spark People app. Well, it counted calories and not points.  The new WW was doing great for my diabetes because it makes you decide if you want to eat those 5 Hersey Kisses in 2 seconds flat, I mean gobble them up!  Yes.. I did do that once....only once....and subtract a lot of points from my only 30 points a day OR eat an apple, banana, or watermelon for ZERO points..
Well, the story is within that 2 weeks I gained about 4 pounds back.. OH NO!!!  That ain't going to happen on my watch!  lol  I deleted that Spark People app and got right back online last night with Weight Watchers!   YAY!!!  I'll be glad to pay 49.00 every 3 months until I reach my goal weight.

Enough about the weight.. I have missed blogging and reading blogs.  So along with accounting for my food, I'm going to start accounting for my blog posting too.

Brrrrrrr In Alabama!

Sitting here stitching and waiting to see what the weather brings to us in central Alabama.  I have been stitching on two projects.
This is the day by Tracy Riffle. It was in a Just CrossStitch magazine.  I started it a couple of years ago. I put it aside to Stitch other things.  I decided this year would be the year that I finished projects that I had put down or in my case, in the drawer that is neglected.  
Go ahead and get on to me for this new start. I did start a new Stitch. Brenda's January Word Play. I have 6 of them stitched. I guess that means 6 more to stitch! 
I just sent a model project back to Brenda and waiting on another one to Stitch.  I love stitching her designs. I'm on my tablet so I will try to attach pictures.   Here we go...  
I guess I will have to try another way.   Using blogger to blog this post. I guess I need to read up more on it.

I'VE NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT Y'ALL!!

I'm still here in Alabama!  Got to love the south where the temp is 87 degrees and humid at the end of October. I have all my Fall decorations out. But I'm just not feeling Autumn.... This is what I feel like:

DT (hubby) is off on vacation this week, We should have been on the rode doing some sight-seeing but no, I had to go see the doctor yesterday. Bad sinus infection. Plus the meds have me whipped.

I'm stitching on The Primitive Needle A & E.  This is a picture before I started. PTP Mello Linen and the Silk threads. This was a WIP that I pulled back out. I hope to finish it this week. I will post my progress picture tomorrow.

I was stitching while watching The Walking Dead. I got to looking at Adam & Eve that I was stitching... hmmmm They look like Zombies!  Yikes!  Look how white their faces are..

They faces are white and their bodies are gray color.. I may have to change that to liven them up some.. change to pinkish flesh floss.

I need to finish off some stitching. I have piled it all on a table. Some are drums, some are pillows and about two need to be framed. I also have a couple that I don't know what to do what them.  I will post pictures tomorrow. Maybe y'all can come up with some ideas for me..

I'M Blogging Again! TWICE In TWO Days !

I did it!!  I'm posting again!  lol   I've been working outside today in humid hot, humid hot weather.  I did get some more paddles and boards painted.

I want to share some cross stitch finishes that happened this past week.

 I stitched this Blackbird Designs, Liberty Eagle for a exchange group. It was called The Very Merry Unbirthday Exchange. It was in a group Dixie Samplar has on Facebook. 

 This design is by The Primitive Hare.  Design is one of The Sea Ornaments. I stitched it on my black walnut stained 28 count linen. I also mounted it to one of my Primitive Boards. This one is the   Gray Whale Tail Board.

This last stitch I did was by SubRosa designs.  1776 Freebie from our Prim Stitchers Society on Facebook.  I mounted it on my Colonial Red Board.

I'm back to model stitching tonight....
 
I hope I have not lost all my Blogging Friends. I'm back to reading blogs at night before bed and commenting.. It is so hard trying to catch up on what everyone else is stitching or crafting. I love seeing all the vacation and summer pictures.

I'M FALLING BEHIND AGAIN... WAY BEHIND!

 

Hello to anyone that is still following me....  I will say I really miss blogging.  Please forgive me for being away so long.  It is just so hard to find the time....  But, I will try to be A Better Blogger!  lol

I'm still model stitching, plus I'm designing my own needle punch patterns, also cutting, sanding, and painting boards. Plus I'm cutting paddles and boards from old barn wood to mount stitching.
It has been so hot in Alabama!  I have been working in this heat doing all that cutting and sanding.

I started a Facebook business page to sale. Just yesterday I opened a Etsy shop for my items.  Don't know how it will work out....

I had a booth at the Prim Stitcher Retreat. Looking around for some pictures....

 I made these pinkeeps for the retreat. I made 20 before I went to the retreat. I sold 15 so, the day before I stayed up all night making 20 more.  I came home with 6.  I think they were a hit.

 I also made these wooden hangers that will hold your needlework. I put a quilted applique piece in one and a cross stitch piece in the other one.

I had made these needle minders to sale. I made them where you could use on your fabric or beside your stitching place. Two
magnets.

This was my table at the retreat!  

I have been stitching models for Becky of Death By Thread.  Love stitching her models. The colors just pop! I did these two for her last month.

 This bag I stitched awhile back.  I loved how she finished it!

I'm going to sign off for now.  I have to get back to stitching the next Death By Thread Release..

Prim Stitchers Society Retreat #1

I'm back and I'm rested!  It was my first retreat and I loved every minute of it. I had a booth/table at the Merchant Mall and I also took the classes. The classes were great!  Elizabeth of Dames Of The Needle and Nan of Threadwork primitives did a class together. A beautiful mermaid needle drum.  We could finish the drum before we left or wait till later.. I waited.. I had to go straight from classes to the Merchant Mall so I did not have time to finish. We also had a great class with Faye of Carolina Stitcher! We learned how to finish a wool strawberry and a cute applique heart mat. (pictures below)

Here are some pictures of the things I purchased for myself for the Merchant Mall. LOL  I can't go to anything and be good about spending money. Eye candy!!

 Trims By Elizabeth - Dames Of The Needle. I love her trims, linen. and velvets. They are all hand dyed.

 My Olde Crow needle punch pattern and box from Teresa Miller. Her and Carol had a wonderful table setup. I will share a picture later!

 These are from Lori - Notforgotten farm!  I also bought this beautiful necklace below! I Love It!!

 I love the hive and the little bee!  Worked in her stitches. And a great piece to remember the retreat!

 Bonnie - The Nebby Needle!  I just had to get these charts. Once you see the models stitched... you can't pass on getting the charts.  lol

 Next, Becky - Death By Thread!  I model stitch for Becky. I love the little ghost pins she makes! I had to have the old jello mold with the black velvet. It has a black silk ribbon wrapped around the outer edge. To Cute Pin cushion! She had a gorgeous mermaid necklace.

 These were cute patterns by Carol - Woodland Primitives. I had to have them too... lol

 Next, Nan of Threadwork Primitives. I had to have this chart and candle holder. I went back to get her Retreat exclusive  kit, but it was all sold out.

 Next, Beth of Summer House !  Limited edition kit for the PSS Retreat. I had to also get all the Fragments in Time charts. She has a new set out, But after I seen these stitched up on her table. I was sold. Then I spotted this fabric, going to use as the base of the Pincushion charts by Carol..

 Next, One of my Besties table. Dixie Samplar Linens. I sorry I could have gone overboard at her table, but I buy from her all the time and I just needed these two colors, Toasted Coconut and Runestone to finish my collection.  lol  I got the new special dyed for retreat color! Georgia Peach Cobbler!  Beautiful Color!

 Theresa Meloon had her new release for the retreat, Be Mine Pin Drum!  She sold out in Georgia, so I waited to get when I got home. I bought the linen from Dixie Samplar for the heart on top. It sold at at the retreat too!  Tee made the necklace! I have been wanting one for a long time! I finally got to see them and I choose this one. The linen is a light lilac. So pretty!

I left Sandra for last. I worked her table. She was not able to come this year. Her models are beautiful!  I mean beautiful. I stood for hours helping stitchers chose which ones they wanted and listened to them oww and ahhh. Then I bought these two.  The colors in the Cat are beautiful!

I will stop here for tonight... I have pictures from the retreat and I will show my table space.
Until tomorrow... I'm back on the dinosaur desk top. Laptop is acting up again. I think they only last 3 years at tops.. urghhhh
