Finally.... Pictures of Trailer

I finally took pics of the work in progress. I will start with closet. Then master bath, master bedroom, kitchen, livingroom, #2 bath ( used to be blood red (dark) and last my craft & computer room ( aka Front little bedroom) See we are downsizing !!! LOL

This is one corner of the closet, where the brown paneling is.. There was only studs. There were 3 more walls with only studs. Here is another angle.

These walls will be painted. I have a big 3 piece wooden built in shelf unit that is white. It will go on the longest wall. Put my purses, shoes and sweaters on.

This is the master bath. The cabinet on the left will be between the 2 sinks. of course new tub kit, and the toilet will be to the right, in that little cove beside the shower We have put down new tile flooring. Paint is Behr brand. Old timey green color. Can't remember real name.
These are pics of master bedroom. Our friend whom owned this home was very artistic. He did the faux fireplace on the wall in first picture. I am going to leave this and put a row of candles inside in the black space. This other pic is of the wall where the bed will go and 2 night stands. DH built me the bed and 2 nightstands over 14 years ago. It matches the mirror that was built by our friend ( previous owner). He died about 3 years ago of a heart attack. His children all live in Louisiana and did not want the land. We purchased as a foreclosure from bank. On to the next room....

Dinning room on the left, I am standing out on glassed-in porch. I am going to replace stained glass light. Friend made it. I will keep, but not use. Behind folding doors is a room for washer & dryer. Picture on right shows wall of dinning room and some of the kitchen. Green counter tops and green range hood is going... LOL. Kitchen is a semi-circle. I like it. But we going to have to customize the counter top ourself.

This is the kitchen area. The beaded board wall on the left is the bar. See all my paint cans... The back splash will be the silver look-like ceiling tiles. My kitchen is done in that, at my now house.

Color on walls in dinning room, kitchen, and living room is called. Melted Butter, No carpet yet in any rooms. Big board on facing wall is bar top. I am going to stain. I love all the knots in the wood. I love nature woodsy stuff. I don't know how a leather sofa & 2 leather recliners are going to fit in this space....Maybe I will just keep those 2 small metal chairs. NOT>>>>

Now, on to the most changed room. 2nd Bath... This room was a dark dark Terra Cotta red. Looked like a bad crime scene. All it needed was crime tape... Even the door was painted red ! I bought paint that is called Sweet Baby Boy. The wall is textured and has a stucco type finish. I like that. This was the worst room, other than Kitchen.

This is my room. Color is Behr - Timeless taupe. My sewing table with machine can go in front of windows. Desk with computer side wall. My closet doors are in the living room. Wood panel doors. I am going to insert with a panel that I will wallpaper. That is all for now. When it is all finished and we are moved in (hopefully within the next 5 weeks). I will post new finished pictures. Halloween X-Stitch

This is a picture of some Halloween cross stitch I need to make into something. The one of the left is to be made into a Halloween shaped cat pillow. I don't know what to do with the other 2. I am thinking maybe Spider Web on right into a pillow?....

The little witch, maybe just a small pin keep with some black rick rack around the outside..

I am still stitching on my dad's Memorial Sampler. I have been working off & on.. More off. Working on extreme makeover home most of the time. I will take some pictures of inside today. Taking mom to the skin doctor today. Thursday we go to another doctor... Can't remember which one.

Raeanne goes tomorrow to her doctor to see if 3-D picture will come out better . Last week, She ( BABY) had her hands in front of her face. Could not see her.. She will be shy... LOL Her brother is not shy. Trying to potty train, and being a boy..., He just takes off his pull ups anywhere and anytime. LOL He went Boating with his dad yesterday. Boy's Day. Chip's friend has a boat and he and chip had their children for the day. 3 Boys and 2 Men. and 2 just Babies... Not 2 yrs yet and not potty trained.. They did good. Chip said that Josh liked when they were cruisin on the lake but, If they stopped to fish. He would have a fit. He loves riding in his dad's jeep too. He gets into his car seat, straps in, puts on his sunglasses and waves to his mom bye..

All this from a 21 month old. LOL

Tomato Peeling Saturday

Well, what do you do with a Big and Huge bag of tomatoes? You peel for about a hour or more, then you cook till they are done, then they boil over on the stove top because.... I forgot about them. LOL ( That is where I am now... ) While they are cooling.... I will need to clean up the mess in the pan under the eye, and clean under the top of stove... Why, because juice overflowed pan under the eye. URGHHHH. But they do smell good. Had a memory when I walked out to take this picture of the peelings.. I walked back in the house and a memory came to me all of a sudden... My Aunt Judy's Kitchen !!!

Her husband's family always had a garden when we were little.. I am talking about 37 years ago.. Me, I was about 7 years old.... Aunt Judy & Uncle Don still do a garden, not acres any more... I know why now. These tomatoes where hard work... Oh Ya.. Back to Memory... Every time you would walk into Aunt Judy's kitchen, she always was cooking something. ( I think of Aunt Judy as my Paula Dean) kitchen smelling GOOD GOOD GOOD. My mind then took a path down memory lane... Or was it Greene lane.. Mrs Greene, her mother-in-law sure could can from the garden. She had shelves built on a wall off from her kitchen that held all her canned vegetables... Talk about beautiful FOOD... ( can you tell I love food! ) I can still see it and remember her home smelling great too. We, as kids would go over there and play in the corn, running up and down the rows, and hiding from each other. Corn stalks will cut you up...( that is a memory also.. LOL ) Mom and Aunt Judy would pick the ears and whatever else they wanted from the garden and we would go back to Aunt Judy's house, she had a picnic table, they would shuck the ears... but as a kid I don't remember what they would do after... Remember I was only 7... I just remember that I grew up with my mom cooking all this great food and not knowing, at that time, that it was hard work. I do appreciate gardens and vegetables more now and I appreciate my mom and aunt's hard work to put Outstanding Food on our tables... When someone offers me some now... I am ecstatic and can't contain myself... Because I will have another new old memory pop up while I am working hard on these vegetables... Thank You Aunt Judy for the Okra a couple of weeks ago. It is in the freezer and very much appreciated.

Now off to clean that whole big stove by myself... urghhh..

Meme's PET is clear !!!!

Hey everyone,

Mom went for her PET test Tuesday. She also has the shingles. She has been in bad bad pain. Today we went back to the doctor for results of the PET test. She was told NO sign of any cancer cells lurking in her body. !! Thank you Lord. The doctor did explain that she wanted her to see the surgeon that removed mass from under her arm, to follow up with him. The doctor is also setting up an appointment with radiologist to see if they think to be safe to do radiation to her breast, as a precaution.
Meme (mom) has been on some heavy meds for the shingles. She was not on any meds, so when she does take any prescriptions, it is always a lot for her body. She has been slurring and gets places and people mixed up when telling something. I just look at Raeanne and say " She is Medicated..." We know what she is trying to say or mean. It is just strange to see and hear her this way. We can laugh today knowing she had a clean PET... LOL. I know it is a big relief for her.
I fell asleep praying last night that today would be a great day, and the Lord answered.

Raeanne and Josh are spending the night and we are going to do baby shower shopping tomorrow. Meme is not up to any of the shopping, we have just let her put the plan together. So off tomorrow for table cloths, napkins, plates, and all other shower thingies. Hope everyone has a great weekend. April Mechelle

Work Saturday & Rest Sunday

I awoke Saturday morning to our friends from Anniston knocking on the door. They had come to help with the plumbing !!!! God Bless Them !!!! We have known Debra and Wayne for 15 years. Their daughter, Brandi and Raeanne are the same age. We met them camping at Cheaha Alabama and have been close ever since. Our families have always camped together till my dad passed away. We just don't have it in our heart to camp anymore, since dad is gone. When we did camp there was a lot of us and great times. Debra, Wayne, their kids, Stuart, his wife, Deeann, and Brandi . Deeann went on the have Baby Eli, who by the way was born on my birthday and is 13 years old now. urghhh ... I am getting Old.... He has a sister, Zoe - 9. Then there was our bunch, Mom, Dad, Me, Dewayne and Raeanne. We met others while camping but the Wells Family is part of our family and will always be.

Anyway, I got off track.... We had a great time talking, working and eating... off course. Debra & Wayne are 2 of the most funniest people I know. I just love spending time with them. We now have plumbing thanks to them... Time flew and before we knew it was time they had to get back on the road. Debra & I put Kiltz on the PIG Slaughter (RED) bathroom. I bought a beautiful blue called Sweet Baby Boy. Nice Calm color. RED was not a good color in a 8 X5 bathroom. I am going over to paint in the morning. I will take camera and take pictures.

New Finish

I did get one thing stitched this week. I have been stitching on a design for "With Thy Needle & Thread ( Designer)". This is a freebie from Chessie & Me. I think I will make a needle book out of this.

DH left for work this morning. Sli, 18 yo Cat was laying in the yard. He called me and we went to check on her. She was breathing till he touched her. Then all of a sudden she jumped up and started purring real loud. Scared both of us. I brought her inside and explained to her that she could not just fall asleep anywhere in the yard and to sleep so sound, that she doesn't hear us call her. Dogs may get you !! I told her. Then I put her up in the bed with me.. Both of our hearts were beating fast.... Of course Rebel didn't know why Sli was getting all the love. ( she -rebel- can't hear anymore) but I will not tell her she can't hear... LOL

We just yell our heads off at her and she just keeps on walking the other way. Now... She did hear the vacuum cleaning going this morning. Barked her head off.

Cooler In The Shade

It is cooler in the shade here in Alabama. Less Humid... Sli will still not come inside. Stupid cat.... Joshua came over this morning after getting his curls cut off. He lo0ks like a little man with his new haircut.
Raeanne brought us both an slush from Sonic. A big Route 44. Mine WAS grape. I say was because, as I was going to pour Josh some of it. He decided to help. Off the kitchen counter it went, into the floor.
I have mopped the floor 2 times. Still sticky...Then we went out on the porch to play. He somehow cut the back of his heel. Then, He slammed his thumb in the door, put a cut on it. He nows has 2 booboos, both with bandaids.
To top that, I was opening the refrig. and he got his other heel caught under the door and tripped him . After all that he still did not want to take a nap....
Maybe he was a little on a sugar high from the Kool-Aid drinks with the screw off plastic top. He has learned to drink from them this week. Loves them.... LOL
