A WORK IN PROGRESS

Here is my work in progress on Poinsettia House. I am stitching on 32 count Angel Blush ( pink) linen. I think it will turn out great with the greens and red.
This is what it will look like when finished, but mine is on pink linen. I have so enjoyed stitching the first month. Hope I can finish this one while in the month of February. I will be on course to finish them all by Christmas.
I am slowly catching up on blog reading. I missed a lot of great post while I was working. I have sat in the sun room today ( no sun) and read blogs. I also cleaned up inboxes of the email areas of both computers.. Sent out a few emails to friends and caught up on Facebook.
It will be salads tonight. I ate a roast beef from Arby's today. It is a No No for me.  Let me just say, I am paying for it tonight.  I have got to a stop on weight loss, 20 pounds total. I need to start walking and working out to get me back going. I am eating things that I should not again. I know better.  Tomorrow is a new day and Arby's is no where near where I live!!  lol
I am heading back to stitch some more on Poinsettia House.
Till Later......

MY SCOOTER WEEKEND!

I just have to tell y'all I scooted up and down the highway behind my house this weekend.  DH says I was terrorizing the neighbors!!  lol I loved it..
I did have a question from blog stitching friend, Charlene SC. She asked where was I going to carry all my stitching?  lol  That is a great question... hmmmm  . May have to purchase a trailer!  lol
Loved all the comments.  I can't wait till it stops raining and I can ride more..
Stitching news:  I did start a new project. The CCN Poinsettia House. I chose to do this square on 32 Angel Blush (light pink).
Next square will be on a light gray. I am trying to do each month on a different color of linen. I hope to have them finished by Christmas so the The Grands can enjoy. I will post picture tomorrow.

ANOTHER FINISH!

I couldn't remember who the designer was of this one. My friend Bonnie said it was a HIH (Heart In Hand) She has a friend that seen it on the blog and gave her the answer for me.  Thank you Bonnie's Friend!!!  lol  Don't you love Blog Friends and Readers!

I painted the wood piece Purple to match the heart and then I added my special touch.. What is it you ask?  Glitter!!!  The original clay heart was broken years ago. I happen to see it again when I went to the Cross Stitch Peddler Shop with my friend Pam. So, walla!

This one was stitched back in the late 1990's or early 2000's I think. I added my own personal touch to the stitchery with silver thread in the border. It used to be in a wine colored frame. I like it better on this purple. That way I can just sit it up on the window sill in the craft room with the other decorations.

I am stitching away on models.. I checked out on DVD from the library, The Ten Commandments. It has been a long time since I have watched it. Going to watch and stitch. I knew Charlton Heston and Yul Brynner were in it.. I didn't know little Eddie Munster's mom, Lilly Munster - Yvonne De Carlo was in it. lol I also just read Vincent price and John Carradine are in it along with Debra Paget... I don't remember seeing them.. Oh well, I will watch it see if I can spot them.. Like Where Is Waldo game.  I just read 220 minutes time.. This is going to be some good stitching going on!

Take care all my north eastern friends.. I heard by Weather Channel that a blizzard is coming y'all way and it ain't from the Dairy Queen!  Hope power stays on for y'all and everyone stays safe.

Till Later.....

A VALENTINE FINISH IN FEBRUARY

I have finished a Valentine stitchery and it is still February!!!  That is maybe a first for me.. I still have a Fall finish that needs to have ribbons added to it!

I finished Brenda's (WTN&T) Valentine Box and the little pillow and needle keep. It is shaped like an envelope. So cute! I'm still getting glue off my fingers.. I happened to find that Valentine key I purchased at the end of last Valentine's Day. The Box is saying, " Key To My Heart." I used pages from an old Hymn book. Song is, The Sweet By and By. Also song Jesus Loves Me.

I did change some of the colors from the ones Brenda used. I didn't have a couple of them. I used, WDW - Cappuccino, Kudzu, Parchment, CC - Just Rust, GA - Grecian Gold, and of course Dried Thyme that I have 4 skeins of, that are different shades.. This one had more brown in it. I also used unbleached 36 count linen.

The fabric you see on the inside of the needle keep is what the pillow is backed with too. I have another Valentine decoration to finish. It is crying out to be mounted on wood. I need to paint it. I got some great OOPS paint in a purple for .50 cents I love to stop at the OOPS counter at Lowes and Home Depot and check out the little samples that they have sitting out for 50 cents. I have paint all stored in my buffet. lol  Bring on the summer!  I have great summery colors to paint stuff!

BK ( aka Baby Kitty)  She is back to her frisky self. She loves the outside. I have the sun room door open this morning so that she would feel safe.  It is starting to rain and cool down. Time to get back to work stitching.  Got to go get her off the porch rails.. she has learned she is safe up high.. Willie Loomis left out early this morning. I am sure he will be back for lunch.. lol He is getting to be such a big boy. He is so sweet. He is the one that likes to cuddle. With it raining he will be knocking on the door soon. Yes, he knocks on the storm door when he wants in.  lol
Everyone have a great day!! Till Later.....

BABY KITTY UPDATE

I wanted to thank everyone for your kind comments and wishes for BK. She is doing so much better. She is still taking her antibiotics like a good little kitty.
I finally let her go outside for a little bit today. She loves outside. She had been laying on the end table in front of the window looking outside all day yesterday. I had to move my wooden owl before she knock it off and broke it.
I stayed outside with her. I sat in the sun and let her run in and out of the bushes..
Mom came by this morning after church and I was holding her. I put her down, thinking she would run over to my mom to be picked up.. She went a couple of steps and just fell down and laid there.  LOL  She just looked around like I am tired.. lol  I think her antibiotics kicked in!!  She gets sleepy after a while of taking the drops..
I am stitching and watching Turner Classic Movie channel.  Academy Award Month on TCM. I am watching Mr Roberts and waiting to watch Auntie Mame with Rosalind Russell. I have not seen Auntie Mame.  I watched the whole Season 4 of TRUE BLOOD yesterday. That was all day of watching TV.. I had a headache last night.  I will not be watching the Superbowl.. I did make chili for today. I have plans for a chili dog with cheese!  It is already 3:00 here and I have not ate lunch.
Can't show anything I am stitching. I will try to get my WTN&T Valentine finished so I can post something I stitched for February.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Till later....

AT THE ANIMAL HOSIPTAL THIS AFTERNOON....

We had to do an emergency run to the animal hospital this afternoon with BK ( Baby Kitty).
Before I get into story... We did find out BK is a little girl kitty... I know!  don't laugh.... She is about 14 weeks old by the vet looking at her teeth.
Because she is so little and furry we had a hard time telling what she was.. male or female.. Go ahead and laugh at me now. lol
Anyhoo. The afternoon before last, I heard banging and loud kitty screaming. I ran outside and BK came running up on the porch.. Just scared.. I picked her up and she was shaking. I noticed some blood on her paw.. I looked her all over and no more blood.. She was doing fine after she calmed down. We always bring them in at night.
This morning, I leave to go to the grocery store. They both run outside. I will not be long.  BK is fine running around.
I come back home and BK is on the porch. I let her in and I notice she is limping some, and is favoring her back leg and more blood.
I start stitching later on and she comes and gets on the couch beside me. Lays down and goes to sleep. That is unusual.. She is always busy playing. Forward 4 hours and she is still asleep.. Hmmmmm
She wakes up at dinner time. She tries to get up and can't. I try to pick her up and she tries to bite me and is shaking. I know that is a sign of pain.. I tell DH get your boots back on!  We are headed to our animal doctor!
That is where we were this afternoon... Vet says she has 2 puncture wounds on her belly. Showed them to us. She also had a fever of 104.  She is just so little. They gave her a steroid shot and we now have antibiotic drops for her to take twice a day.
It is 9:30 and she is up and eating and drinking.. She is walking better.. I need to sit up her recovery room in our bathroom tonight. Vet said to confine her till tomorrow, so that she does not jump and get hurt.  Willie Loomis came over and stared at her laying on the couch next to me.. He started washing her head.. I think he knows she is hurt and not feeling good.

So that has been my afternoon and night. I need to get the recovery room set up for our patient.  Till later.....
